Now this is what it's all about! One of my favorite memories as a kid is going to my Grandpa's farm and swimming in the canal. As we got older my cousins LIVED in the canal. It's just across the street. I don't know that a day went by that we didn't swim. We would cross over on the neighbors lawn and occasionally get stung by bee's in the clovers that were growing. The cold water is so refreshing on a HOT day. It's so fun to do this with my kids now.
So back in the day, we actually had to walk to and from the spill way. Now, and probably because the kids are little, we take them in Uncle Marlo's Jeep. Trust me, when they are older they will know what it's like to walk with bare feet on the Hot sandy gravel and jumping on the weeds to cool off. It's all part of the fun.
Uncle Marlo, Presley and Bea at the spill way waiting for the kids to come.
We drop them off by the house and they swim to the spillway. The current is fun, it makes you feel like your a really fast swimmer.

Don't worry Bowen only looks like he's drowning.
