Arizona

Last minute trip to Arizona... if only it took a minute to drive there!
Kevin had an annual conference in Scottsdale and we decided to tag along. We left about 4:00 on a Friday afternoon and 24 hours later driving straight through we arrived in Sunny ARIZONA! Here are a LOT of pictures we took while we were gone. We found that letting the kids take pictures occupied a lot of time and added a lot of entertainment.I think this was the one and only time Jude cried on the drive there. What a super trooper! I don't blame him, this fit came on about hour 22 and only lasted about 20 minutes then he crashed for one last nap in the car until we arrived at Grandma's house. He definitely loved his NEW car seat! It was well worth the last minute trip to Toy's R Us 20 minutes before we were leaving town. He felt like a KING in his new ride!
As you can see here!
We are ALL a little slap happy and not so pretty 23 hours into our drive
Lots of NOSE picking...
More Nose Picking...
YES... we made it!

Morning ritual of feeding the fish off the dock... actually all day long ritual
Bowen learned to sew instead of attending Primary with the cousins and his sisters.
Meet BaBoy! His own little creation his designed and made with Grandma Nancy

Paddle Boat rides. It even has a motor if you get tired of paddling.
Diamond Backs Baseball game with cousins and Grandma

Rock Climbing. Bowen and Campbell decided they enjoyed repelling more than climbing. They spent 2 1/2 hours here having a great time. Bowen was hilarious to watch, he loved falling on his bum or back kind of crashing I guess. What ever makes him happy and entertained.

oops. More DBack game.
Beatrice showing us her muscles! What is that face???
Plain and simple backyard fun!

Bowen and PaBo visited an Air Museum in Mesa.

Late night watching Tangled and doing hair.

Daily tag, hide and seek, ect.

Of course LOTS of swimming! It was so fun to be there when the beach was open. Usually when we are there in the winter it's not open. The kids had a blast building castles and burying each other.

One of the last days we went to swim at Kevin's hotel in Scottsdale. He stayed at the Biltmore. There were several pools and one with water slide which they loved. All of his Cincinnati employees were there including territory agents. Talk about crashing an adult party, when I show up with my 4 kids, Grandma and 3 nieces! Luckily we weren't the only kids there. It was great when everyone had to leave to attend a dinner function. We then had the pools to ourselves!
We had a great trip! It was well worth the 48 hour drive and missing a week of school. I can't believe we made that drive twice in a 5 month period. It wasn't so bad for the kids and I, but poor Kevin who did most of the driving was EXHAUSTED! He says he will never do it again, but we will see. It was his idea in the first place :) The kids did great there and back... thank goodness!
