Seattle

Kevin and I wisked ourselves away to Seattle for a weekend. We bought Les Miserable' tickets and dropped this kids off at my MOM's. Yeah!
We started with some Thomas Kemper root beer in Cle Elum and a maple donut all from the Cle Elum Bakery. A place we used to love and stop on our drives from Seattle to Moses Lake when we were young and single living in Seattle.Friday when we got there we hung out downtown, did a little shopping and wondering. Then got dinner to go from Ivars and loaded the ferry to Bainbridge Island to see our friends Matt and Anna. Went to Pikes Market.

Ate a late dessert/nachos with our friends at a great little Pub on the water overlooking the city. So fun!

On Saturday we went and rented kayaks on Lake Union. We went under the Aurora bridge towards the locks then back past Gas Works park. Through the Mont Lake cut into Lake Washington. It was so fun to be on the water on such a beautiful sunny day. After kayaking we grabbed lunch in Fremont at a great thai restraunt. We drove around some more hoping to go visit some of our favorite spots but do to the great weather everyone in Seattle was out and at the beach. Which means No Parking. We headed back to the hotel and got ready for the show. We LOVED Les Miserable. I had not seen it since I was about 12 or 14 in Spokane. It was so fun to see it again. Sunday morning we went to Portage Bay Cafe for the amazing Banana Foster French Toast. An hour later, we sat and ate. I was hoping that all my build up for it was going to please Kevin, and luckily it didn't let me down! He loved it!
We then headed back to home to our kids and Grandma Jeanie. Great weekend;)
